Introduction to Güllük
We visited Güllük by accident, we were meeting friends from the airport, and their flight was delayed, and Güllük looked like the best option to kill some time.
It was a quaint little fishing village, with mostly locals. We had a good meal at one of the family owned restaurants overlooking the fishing harbour, and was served our pizza and salad, by a cute, but snot ridden child, even though it was well past bedtime!
Obviously Child Labour & Health and Safety didn’t apply – but that being said – the hosts of the restaurant were really friendly, and the food was great.
There’s several supermarkets, hotels, and banks plus a multitude of local shops and businesses. Local attractions include the beach, day boat trips and glorious sunsets.
Getting There
If you turn off the D330 before the airport, and drive about 4 miles, you’ll come to Güllük (fka Güllück or Küllück – depending on which website you reference!). It’s a traditional fishing village, with many small restaurants and bars around the bay.
Güllük is 10km from the airport and about 40km to Bodrum City.
