I haven’t had much opportunity to try all of the hikes and treks first hand, so I’ve relied on 2nd-hand knowledge and information to create the blog posts.

There are many interesting walks you can take on the Bodrum Peninsula. They will provide you with great views of the landscape, as well as give you a glimpse back into history, because there are ancient sites littered across the whole peninsula.

Definition of a Walk, Hike and Trek

  • So what constitutes as walk vs. a hike vs. a trek?

These terms tend to get interchanged, so I checked free dictionary for clarification:

Hike To go on an extended walk for pleasure or exercise
Trek To make a slow or arduous journey, especially to hike through mountainous areas

So if it’s a long walk – you’re hiking, and if your hike become hard work and hilly, you’re Trekking!

  2. Trek up Aspat Hill from Aspat Bay

A to B Walks/Hikes/Treks:
