Open the Door to Torba

This is the tenth Quick Reference Travel Guide, and it covers Bodrum’s neighbour, Torba. If the Summer crowds of Bodrum town centre are overwhelming, and you need a quick escape to a local beach, hop on a dolmus to Torba.

It’s close enough for a half-day jaunt, and will feed your adventurous spirit. The beach in lined with boutique hotels and resorts. The biggest, and most well-known of these resorts is “Voyage Torba“.

As you wander along the main road that follows the edge of Torba bay, you’ll encounter a selection of wooden jetties reaching out into bay, that are ideal spots for sunbathing, and watching the boats and water sports enthusiasts bobbing around the bay.

Although there aren’t many shopping opportunities here, there are plenty of places to eat, ranging from hotel restaurants, local lokantas and harbour-side cafes.

It’s only a short jaunt from Torba to Bodrum, so if you’re staying in the Torba area for your holiday, anything that is lacking in Torba, can be found  in Bodrum.
