Ortakent Yahşi Belediye Cafe
At the mid-way point between Ortakent and Yahşi beaches is the water inlet and marina area. The Belediye Cafe is located at the end of the concrete jetty, and is perfectly located for seeing up and down the beach in both directions, and also gives you a panoramic look at the bay.
There’s plenty of seating at the back of the cafe, which overlooks the bay. I’ve visited most of the municipal cafes on the peninsula, but I think this one might be one of the largest.
Nearby are the local craft stalls, and if you walk along Yahşi beach, there are plenty more restaurants and cafes to visit. But my favourite place to head for is the Belediye Cafe. Not only because of the great views, but also because of the budget conscious menu.
You just have to love a cafe where you can sit in the shade, overlooking the bay, and sip a Turkish Coffee for only 3TL! There’s definitely worse ways to spend your time.
Location
The cafe is located just by the water inlet, which has a small hump back bridge spanning it. If you’re coming from Yahşi beach, walk past the little marina, and go over the bridge to reach the Belediye Cafe.
