Introduction to Palmarina Yalikavak
Yalikavak’s Marina was formerly known as Port Bodrum Yalikavak, but has been rebranded, and renamed as the The Palmarina Yalikavak. It’s currently in the midst of some major expansion and development, so if you’ve been there in the past, maybe it’s time to take another look at this location.
Marina
It’s a state of the art Marina, with berths for 450 yachts. If you’re arriving here on your yacht, you’ll be pleased to know it is a full suite of technical services available. The current construction is expanding the number of berths by approximately 300 – resulting in additional mooring locations for your 100m yacht.
More information about the available boat services can be found on the Super Yacht website.
For the rest of us who are arriving at this location on foot – there’s plenty to distract and entertain, and it’s within easy walking distance of the main hub of Yalikavak town centre.
Facilities
As well as an assortment of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars, there’s also a large bay-side 2,500-seat Amphitheatre, which hosts musical and artistic events, as well as Moonlight Cinema nights on Wednesdays at 9.30pm.
The VIP Village and Fishermen’s Village have been designed using a discreet fusion of Mediterranean, Ottoman and local Bodrum styles. A mix of open spaces and narrow lanes, create an atmosphere of new-world luxury and old-world charm.
As well as expansion plans for the yacht berths; the Shopping area and Concert square are being expanded to create a recreational Island with a sea-water pool.

Greek Island Boat Service
There’s also plans to add a high-speed passenger service to the Greek Islands, as part of the on-going expansion plans.
Migros for Mere Mortals
Even if you’re don’t intend to shop at any of the designer stores in the VIP Village, or dine at one of the many restaurants, cafes or bars in the Fisherman’s Village, it’s a destination worthy of a wander around, even if it’s just to see how the other half lives. There’s a Migros adjacent to the Palmarina complex, so why not combine a grocery trip, with a recce around the Marina?
You won’t be able to walk around where the boats are moored – but you can access the Marina via a route left of Migros and walk along the Marina, but to the right is only for people who have a boat moored there.
