Bodrum’s Old Mosque
The Kizilhisarli Mustafa Pasa Mosque stands in Iskele Square, just opposite Bodrum Castle, and was built in 1720. It’s affectionately known as the Old Mosque (Eski Cami), and if you’re going anywhere near the Castle or Marina, chances are you’ll walk right past it.
The great thing about Mosques is that they have public toilets. Sometimes they’re free, but most Mosques charge a nominal fee to use their facilities. (If you’re caught short around town, or anywhere on the peninsula, just look out for the closest minaret for the location of a public toilet.)
A number of the local pedestrian shopping streets converge on this town square, and there are usually a couple of craft/artist stalls set up in the square during the day, and a few more are there in the evenings.
