A Visit to La Pasion

Red and I had our Anniversary dinner at La Pasion the first time we visited Bodrum – it seemed appropriate!  It’s just off Atatürk Cad. on Ulsu Sokak, on your left as you head toward the ocean and bar street.

Walk through the arched doorway directly into a walled garden, which is used as the outdoor restaurant and bar area. Beneath a canopy of foliage and palms there’s an array of white wooden tables and chairs, on a spanish tile floor. Depending on where you sit, you’ll have a backdrop of white washed walls adorned with black and white photo’s, or the rural backdrop of stone house walls.

The staff were attentive, but not over-bearing, and the menu boasted an array of succulent morsels to tempt the palette. We we were offered a complimentary sangria while we perused the menu, and although we were the only diners of the evening, there was more than enough ambiance (let’s call it rural-contemporary) in the place, to put us at our ease.

I’ve heard this is a great place for lunch – in fact, it’s on Jack Scott’s Top 5 list.

I walked past La Pasion on my recent trip to Bodrum, and took photo’s of the menu they have hanging on the wall outside the restaurant. Take the Bull by the Horns and go there for dinner!
