Gümüşlük Çay Bahçesi (Tea Garden)

Gümüşlük is famous for it’s Fish restaurants, and whist you may not mind spending your daily budget on a dinner for two, during the day you may be on the lookout for refreshments that are a little more budget conscious. Gümüşlük has a solution for that too.

Head to the harbour side of the bay, and look out for the “Belediye Çay Bahçesi” sign (Municipal Tea Garden). This is where locals and visitors alike, congregate to enjoy an inexpensive glass of tea or Turkish coffee. The pricing at Belediye establishments is a fraction of cost of a restaurant, and most towns and villages across the Peninsula have a conveniently location Tea Garden.

Great View and a Cheap Price

At the Gümüşlük Tea Garden, you may be skimping on the price of refreshments, but you’re definately not skimping on the view.

This location is protected from the mid-day sun with a natural material ceiling/roof, but the sides are open to the elements, allowing the flow of a cool breeze whilst you enjoy your beverage.

It’s a great location to watch the boats heading in and out of the harbour, and you can easily while-away your time nursing your beverage and relaxing into the pace of village life.

Köftecisi Snack Bar

If you want to grab lunch-on-the-go, there’s a Snack Kiosk attached to the Tea Garden, where you can pick up Turkish Bread Sandwich (e.g. meatball, salami, cheese) on a budget.
