QRTG – Quick Reference Travel Guides
Great news – we’ve started to publish a series of Quick Reference Travel Guides covering different locations on the Bodrum Peninsula. If you’ve been following press releases from the travel industry, you’ll have seen Lonely Planet have just released 12 new City Guides. As the Bodrum Peninsula only has towns and villages – none of them have been covered by Lonely Planet!
So to fill that gap, I’m creating a series of quick reference travel guides, which allow you to Open the Door to the Bodrum Peninsula.
And what’s more…. they’re FREE.
What are they?
They’re an invaluable quick reference travel guide, showing you key information about the different towns and villages on the Bodrum Peninsula.
- Transport (Taxi, Car Parks, Dolmus)
- Activities (Beach, Shopping, Boat Trips, Weekly Markets, Marinas)
- What’s Nearby (hiking routes, sightseeing), and distances to nearby towns
- Local Amenities, Restaurant locations and Events Calendar
- Top 5 Picks submitted by visitors to the Bodrum Peninsula
- Local Area Map

Thanks Eljay … there’s just such a lack of printed information about some of the smaller towns and villages, I know they’re going to come in handy.

Hi Jay,
Have you written about other cities in Turkey ? Selcuk … Ephesus … Goreme … Izmir … Pamukkale ? My wife and I are travelling to all these beginning June 18, 2015 and would love to benefit from your focussed insight and easy to read style. Keep up the good work please.
Thanks,
Mujib
Thanks for the comment Mujib, glad you hear you’re enjoying the Bodrum blog. I haven’t got around to writing about any of the places you mentioned in great detail. Although there are a couple of articles about Ephesus on this blog. Sounds like you have quite a tour planned. Get to Ephesus early .. it doesn’t take long to get packed with tourist … but it’s an amazing place to visit.

Thank you for taking the time to reply Jay. I always salute Good Samaritans like you who devote so much time and energy to help others, without expecting anything in return. No wonder the Internet is bursting at the seams with a wealth of useful information !
Having roamed half the globe, I have realised that there is no country as tourist friendly as Turkey. Hospitality is out of this world and facilities anyone would rave about. Have half a mind to settle there post retirement 🙂
Wishing you all the very best always.
