A friend of mine is traveling back to the UK from Bodrum Turkey in May 2017, and just received these instructions from Easyjet about electronic devices.Due to new UK Government security measures restricting personal electronic devices on board of flights from Egypt and Turkey to the UK, you will not be permitted to take large personal electronic devices, such as kindles, tablets and laptops into the cabin of the aircraft on your flight from Bodrum.
What happens next?
Please avoid bringing personal electronic devices where possible or pack them into your hold luggage.
If you travel with hand baggage only you will be able to check this in for free at our Bag Drop when you get to Bodrum airport.
There will be additional security searches at the gate, therefore please get to the airport 3 hours before your flight, to help us get everyone on board on time.
